BEST DRESSED IN VINTAGE COMPETITION – FRIDAY NIGHT

…and a new 1920s category – WIN ticket to see The Great Gatsby!

Friday evening at the Love Vintage Show is the time that vintage lovers pop on their most fabulous vintage and retro fashion – letting glamour be the order of the night!

For those who want to show their style and how they can put together the perfect vintage outfit, we invite you to register at the show for the Best Dressed In Vintage Competition at the Lindy Charm School For Girls stand. The parade will take place at 7pm on the main catwalk stage.

There are categories for Best Dressed Lady and Gentleman from any era, with a host of wonderful prizes to be won, donated by our very generous Love Vintage Show exhibitors.

And to celebrate the portrayal of the ‘roaring’ 1920s and ’30s in the current crop of movies and TV programs, we will also have a special ‘original 1920s fashion’ category with the winner receiving pre-release tickets to The Great Gatsby!

Have you got your outfit ready? Here are a few judging tips from our style guru and MC, Miss Chrissy.

~ Be true to your era – make sure your top/bottom/coat are all from the same era
~ Accessories make and outfit -  but make sure they are the same era as your clothes
~ Style your hair and makeup to match the era of the outfit you are wearing. There is no particular era we are looking for – wear your favourite! From 1920s to ’50s, ’60s to (uh oh!) ’80s.
